It’s the end of the year and as I think of what I want to do next year, I’d like to review what I’ve accomplished this year. I find that if I don’t do this, I generally forget what I’ve done and makes me feel like I haven’t done much at all. So here’s a list of things that I’ve done this year:

Business and Finance
- Launched 8 projects for the 12 startups challenge
- Grew my consulting business to a point that I am making enough to cover all my expense and still have a great lifestyle

Health and Fitness
- Started playing drop-in touch rugby
- Started playing drop-in basketball

Adventure
- Travel Trips
- Ski Trip to Utah and Colorado
- First time in Chicago, IL
- First time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- Brisbane, Australia
- First time in South Island of New Zealand
- First time in Yukon, Canada
- Festivals
- Hot Dog Day - Fernie, BC
- Kaslo Jazz Etc Festival - Kaslo, BC
- Mogul Smoker - Fernie, BC
- Flew in a helicopter for the first time (total of 4 flights this year!)
- Spent time at a backcountry ski lodge for the first time this year. Highly recommend Mt Carlyle Lodge if you’re interested in backcountry skiing.
- Picked morel mushrooms (approx. 250lbs over 2 weeks of picking), let me know if you’re interested in purchasing and trying some.
- Caught my first Red Rocks Amphitheatre show

Personal Development
- Learnt about LLMs and how to utilize them for automation
- Started getting into woodworking again by building a few things for the house and workshop
- 265 days of Duolingo streak in Spanish

- Received my Canadian Citizenship
- Finished up some little projects around the house
As you can see, it’s been a bit of an adventure year. A lot of travel and a lot of new experiences. I’m looking forward to what 2024 will bring!
What’s Next?
Here are some of the things that I’m looking forward to completing in 2024:

- Continue to grow my consulting business
- Get at least 1 of my side projects to make some income
- Health and Fitness
- Wake up and stretch more consistently every day, noticed this is lacking since I don’t have a routine anymore
- Eat healthier
- Adventure
- Go cat-skiing
- Hike the ‘O’ trek in Patagonia
- Hike Mt. Loki in the Purcell Mountains
- Pick morel mushrooms again!
- Personal Development
- Get back into electronics by completing at least 1 electronics project
- Get back into woodworking by completing at least 1 woodworking project
- Other
- Donate to local charities in Kaslo, BC
- Fix up the house and tidy up my workshop
- Write more
